Oroku Saki, better known as Shredder, is the main antagonist in most iterations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. He leads the Foot Clan, a criminal organization filled with ninjas. Shredder's origin often involves a rivalry with Hamato Yoshi, Splinter's human form, typically driven by a betrayal or competition for a woman.

Shredder is often depicted in a suit of bladed armor. His appearance is menacing, reflecting his ruthless nature. He is a master of martial arts, a formidable opponent to the TMNT.

Shredder's first appearance was in the 1987 TMNT cartoon series. The cartoon depicted him as the arch-nemesis of Splinter and the turtles, frequently devising plans to defeat them and take over the world.
